The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) recently announced the addition of a new communications coordinator and office manager to its staff.
A recent graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Journalism, Azya Thornton will help the organization fight climate change by communicating its concerns to the state legislature and through community outreach, according to Executive Director Lori Brown. Thornton was also recently an intern with the CT Mirror, a nonprofit news organization.
Meanwhile Kenya Smith, who has previous experience in municipal government as well as with non-profit work, has joined the CTLCV as its new office manager.
“While we are proud of the steps taken toward climate change here in our State, much work remains at this critical juncture. We are delighted to have Kenya here to provide crucial support to our organization,” Brown said.
