Joy Avallone

The former General Counsel for the Insurance Association of Connecticut has joined Roy & Leroy Government Relations as a senior lobbyist, the firm announced today.

Joy Avallone has also served the state of Connecticut as an assistant attorney general.

“Joy has become one of the most respected voices at the state Capitol on a wide range of business issues,” said Craig Leroy, a Partner at Roy & Leroy and one of the firm’s co-founders, in a prepared release.

Roy & Leroy, which represents clients before state and local government, has recently gained new clients in various business areas including the telecommunications, internet technology, commercial solar, and cannabis industries. Roy & Leroy has increased its focus on municipal development and public-private partnership (P3) projects, representing the operator of Tweed New Haven Airport in a recent deal to develop the airport.
